Strategy

This department details unofficial strategies that may assist with completion of the affiliate. This may not piece of work for everybody.

As many of the characters will say, the key loma is the position to take to win the battle. Not only is the ballista useful for chipping away at budgeted enemies, but the position volition also describe a bulk of the other regular army'due south attentions, allowing yous to score the most kills if your units are capable.

It is highly advised to accept both the Footstep and Assault Troop gambits. At best, Stride volition let 5 of your units rush to the center within the beginning turn, minimizing hits from Ashe'due south ballista. It may be tempting to dissever your ground forces to bargain with Ignatz's team on the right, considering that Stride won't hitting everyone in your party. The problem is it will take far too long to regroup in the middle due to the forest terrain, and past that point, you'll be dealing with both the Blue Lions and Gold Deer'south main damage damage dealers. In fact, having some units get in slightly after to the center due to not beingness Footstep-boosted is ideal, equally Ingrid's pegasus squad will about likely go for them. Having your units spaced such that your premier archers like Bernadetta go far tardily to shoot downwardly Ingrid will brand her simple.

Later taking the eye, Lorenz will probably be charging for the fundamental hill with units such as Ignatz, Hilda, and the unnamed cavalry in tow. Claude himself volition remain stationary, alongside the 3 archers in the back. While Lorenz isn't very threatening, Hilda is extremely dangerous, easily capable of doubling and killing anyone on Maddening if she gets to set on with her Darting Blow. Making use of Curved Shot, Mire, and Thoron to outrange her Short Axe is the best way to deal with her.

Lysithea, Marianne, Raphael, and Leonie will nearly likely head over to engage Dimitri's army, and will most probable get demolished past Dedue, Dimitri, and Annette. While this is beneficial on Normal and Hard, Maddening's threshold for the "morale stat heave" is three units, meaning the Blueish Lions are almost guaranteed +two to nearly of their stats, and will probably trigger the heave a second time after defeating 2 more Alliance units. Mercedes will also be using Physic to keep her business firm salubrious, then any chip harm the Alliance tin get off is practically negated. It'south important to annotation that Dedue and Dimitri are virtually inseparable, and Dedue will go wherever Dimitri goes.

The best fashion to deal with Dimitri and his forces is to hold the center, equally the Blue Lions will oversupply the wooden walkways, allowing for your gambits such as Assault Troop to weaken many of them. Dedue can be dealt with hands by Hubert or Dorothea (any unit with adequate axe mastery for Helm Splitter will work too, just on Maddening it will probably take several such attacks to bring him down, and you practice non desire to deal with his follow up attacks). Once Dimitri's principal forces are defeated, cleaning upwardly his units is easy enough. Mercedes is almost not a threat (Maddening all the same makes Nosferatu hitting similar a truck this early on on), and Felix, every bit the lone wolf he is, won't move to support Dimitri unless provoked, meaning he tin exist dealt with via ranged weapons. After grabbing the chest, Claude can be reached and dealt with in 1 turn via Stride'due south second usage.
